In the heart of Central Victoria and nestled at the base of the stunning Pyrenees Ranges, you will find the charming town of Avoca.
Spectacular landscapes allow you to truly take in the great outdoors, be it a picnic in native bushland, or a walk through town, taking in the beautiful gold rush era architecture that lines the main street.
Avoca is the gateway to the Pyrenees Wine Region and we invite you to feast your way around our award winning cellar doors.
The people of Avoca are vibrant and community minded and extremely proud of their rural town. The town is supported by a number of active groups that are working towards promoting and encouraging growth, economic development and sustainability.
Regardless of the time of year you choose to visit Avoca, there is always something to celebrate!
To find out what country picnic race meetings are all about, visit Avoca in March for the Avoca Autumn Races or October for the Avoca Cup.
The Pyrenees Unearthed Festival is not to be missed. Held along the banks of the Avoca River, it’s a fun filled day for all to enjoy fabulous wine, live music and kids activities.
On weekends you can find musicians in cellar doors as you relax for an afternoon of live music, wine tasting and cheese platter grazing.
