Avoca Playground

Located centrally in High Street, the Avoca playground is a great place to bring young children for a picnic and play.


The playground is fully fenced, making it a very safe environment for children.

This interesting playspace features an array of unique play equipment including tunnels, slides, climbing structures, logs and stones for balancing, a net swing, small trampoline, swings, water play and all beautifully landscaped.

Kids love barbies and does life get any better than having a BBQ next to a playground? Outside the fenced area, there is an under cover area which consists of picnic tables, public BBQ and toilets are located on the other side of the car park. And to make things even easier, the local butcher is located directly opposite the playground. Talk about convenience!

Lions Club Playground

The Lions Club Park is located on the bank of the Avoca River, and is a great spot for camping, barbecues and picnics.

The playground is fantastic and includes swings, monkey bars, slides, toddler play area, shop front, and a large tunnel.

The toilet block is located by the playground and has disabled access.
Beside the park entrance is a huge, slanted tree which is popular for kids to climb on.

Beside the playground is a large gazebo providing shelter from sun or rain and has an electric barbecue, two picnic tables, and a water tap.

Avoca Skate Park

The Avoca Skate Park is built into a grassy hill alongside the Avoca River, and it’s located right near the Avoca River Nature Trail.

This is a concrete park that consists of flat bank running into fun box with rail and hubbas. Five foot mini ramp with hip and escalator. There is also a manual pad/ledge.

There is a shade sail over a grassy area beside the skate park, and plenty of shady trees to sit under.

  • Vertical ramp is for use by skaters with advanced skill level.
  • Protective equipment, including helmet, knee, elbow & wrist pads & suitable footwear must be worn at all times.
  • Skateboards, In-line skates and Freestyle BMX riders only.
  • Children under 12 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • No glass or alcohol is to be brought onto the skate area or surrounds.
  • Skate park is to be used during daylight hours only.
